President's Message

On September 14th and 15th, Wilhelmina Jones, NYSACSP President-Elect and I had the honor and pleasure to attend the Ontario Central Service Association Annual meeting in Toronto. We gratefully took the opportunity to establish new relationships and friendships with our partners to the north.
One very interesting experience was the ease in which Mina starts conversations with people we just met and how much information we gather from them during our brief contact. And the other truly amazing thing was that our problems and process issues do not recognize boarders. Just because the country changed the problems in Sterile Processing departments, relationship, process issues and staffing remain the same.
We had the opportunity to view the newly published Canadian equivalent if our ST79 standard. This is a very impressive document. I recommend it for some light reading.
